How a session at BodyFix works
At BodyFix we work diagnosis-first: every new client starts with a free consultation and a Bodyreading before the first treatment takes place. Below we explain step by step what you can expect. BodyFix has specialised in connective-tissue and fascia techniques since 2008. This is general information and does not replace medical advice.
What does a connective tissue massage at BodyFix look like?
At BodyFix we work diagnosis-first. Every new client starts with a free consultation and a Bodyreading; based on this we draw up a personal treatment plan. The treatment itself is a deep manual connective tissue massage, combined within the BodyFix Method with device-assisted lymphatic drainage. Cups can be integrated during the connective tissue massage; this is not a separate cupping treatment, but part of the manual technique. We tailor the pressure and the approach to your situation and to what is comfortable for you.
What happens during the consultation and the Bodyreading?
The free consultation lasts 20 minutes and is without obligation. We discuss your complaint and your goal and carry out a Bodyreading: an assessment of your connective tissue and skin. Based on this we draw up a personal treatment plan together that suits your situation. That way you know in advance what to expect. You can easily book your consultation via the consultation page.
How long does a treatment last?
Treatments are available in 30, 60 or 90 minutes; the price is based on the duration, not on the type of treatment. The free consultation lasts 20 minutes. Which duration best suits your complaint and your goal is something the therapist discusses with you during the consultation.

What to wear and how often you come
Practical questions almost everyone has before the first appointment begins. The answers below are general in nature; during the consultation we tailor everything to your situation.
What should I wear for a connective tissue massage?
Wear easy, comfortable clothing. During the treatment we usually work on the skin of the areas being treated, always with respect for your privacy. At the consultation your therapist explains exactly what is practical and how the treatment works in practice, so that you feel at ease.
How often should I have a connective tissue massage?
That differs per person and per complaint. Some people choose individual treatments, others a series via a session card. We only give concrete advice after the Bodyreading at the free consultation, tailored to your situation and goal. We promise no fixed outcome in this; results differ from person to person. Have a look at the options under packages and prices.
How many treatments do I need for results?
There is no fixed number that applies to everyone; it depends on your complaint, the stiffness of the tissue and your lifestyle. Personal advice follows after the consultation and the Bodyreading. We are deliberately honest about this and give no guarantee of results; results differ from person to person. For specific complaints you can read more on the topic pages about connective tissue massage and in the knowledge base: what is connective tissue massage.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for the treatment?
Arrive on time and keep it simple. At the consultation, always mention any medication you take (for example blood thinners), any pregnancy and any medical conditions, so that we can tailor the treatment accordingly. Would you like to know more in advance about when a treatment is better avoided or should only take place after consulting your doctor, or about what you may feel during and after the treatment? Then take a look at our pages on contraindications and on pain and side effects. This does not replace medical advice.

What you do best afterwards
Questions about the time after the treatment and about when you notice something. The advice below is general wellbeing advice, intended to be supportive, and does not replace medical advice; with unusual or persistent complaints, contact your GP.
- ✓
What is best to do after the treatment?
As general wellbeing advice: drink plenty of water, give your body some rest and take it easy with strenuous activity shortly after the treatment. This is intended to be supportive and is not a medical prescription; how you feel differs from person to person. With unusual or persistent complaints, contact your GP.
- ✓
May I exercise after a connective tissue massage?
Many people choose to take it easy after an intensive treatment and not to schedule strenuous activity straight afterwards. Listen to your body. This is general wellbeing advice and not a medical prescription; what feels comfortable for you differs from person to person. If you have doubts due to an injury or condition, consult your GP.
- ✓
Should I drink a lot of water after the massage?
Drinking plenty of water is often advised after a massage or lymphatic drainage and is a pleasant, supportive habit. We present this as general wellbeing advice and not as a medically proven fact about flushing out waste products. How much you need differs from person to person.
- ✓
When will I feel or see results?
The pace at which you notice change is individual and depends on your complaint, your tissue and how regularly you are treated. We are deliberately honest about this and promise no fixed timeframes or results; your therapist discusses a realistic expectation with you.
- ✓
Is a connective tissue massage also suitable for men?
No. BodyFix treats women only and is fully specialised in treatments for the female body; we are therefore unable to schedule men.
Every treatment starts diagnosis-first with a Bodyreading. The BodyFix Method was developed by founder Agnieszka Kadula and combines deep manual connective tissue massage with device-assisted lymphatic drainage. You can read more about it on the BodyFix Method page or book a free consultation.
